EMORY HEALTHCARE AND BLUE SKY REAL ESTATE COLLABORATE TO DEVELOP NEW MUSCULOSKELETAL INSTITUTE

Blue Sky Real Estate Services & Development, a company serving the needs of universities, healthcare systems and other not-for-profits, is pleased to announce its partnership with Emory University on Emory Healthcare’s new Musculoskeletal Institute. The 180,000-square foot, LEED-certified facility is being constructed in Emory’s Executive Park health innovation district, located in the city of Brookhaven, just northeast of Atlanta.

Blue Sky will develop and finance the Emory Musculoskeletal Institute, which will be a comprehensive, innovative, patient and family-centered facility providing orthopeadics and spine ambulatory care, physical therapy, imaging, ambulatory surgery, with clinical and discovery research support space.

“Emory has a commitment to innovation and providing premier healthcare facilities for the community,” said Joel Papo, Chief Operating Officer of Blue Sky. “Blue Sky and Emory worked closely together to ensure that this commitment was realized through the Musculoskeletal Institute at Executive Park.”

Construction on the new Emory Musculoskeletal Institute is anticipated to be completed in the second quarter of 2021.
